I believe that, aside from empathy, education is the single most important key to solving our world's problems as well as furthering our longevity as a species!
I am a lifelong learner and lover of all things academic. I obtained my B.S. in Professional Aeronautics with a business minor from ERAU, while working multiple jobs and starting a family. As I continued my academic and professional journey as a leader in the aviation industry, I fell in love with leadership philosophies and earned a Master's in Leadership Development from St. Mary-of-the-Woods College, the same college where I am now a professor. At "The Woods", I teach my passions, such as leadership, moral philosophy (ethics), not-for-profit strategy, and many more subjects. I mentor graduate students throughout their coursework and final theses.
As I grew older, I began to model my continuing education efforts toward my interests and passions, such as psychology, and less to just support a business career. This led me to a Ph.D. in I/O Psychology at NCU, where I am currently a Ph.D. candidate preparing for my final dissertation defense titled "A Case Study about DACA, Psychological Health and Subjective Well-being in the current U.S. Socio-Political Climate."
All of this, all of my hard work, has led me to you. I love to teach, mentor, and tutor students. Your success is my success. I feel that my purpose on this earth is to share knowledge and help others, just like you, become the best human being possible.

First and foremost, I love my family! My wonderful wife and I just celebrated 36 years together. We have two amazing daughters, one a filmmaker and the other a CMT and mommy. We also have a former foreign exchange student from Germany who has become like a daughter to us, even though she hasn't lived with us for many years. I am also a grandpa, and am anxiously awaiting the arrival of our second grandbaby! I am an academic at heart and love almost all subjects, especially those that end with an "-omy", or an "-ogy"! -Psychology (of course) -Astronomy (I spend a lot of time with my telescope) -Archeology (I have volunteered on archeological digs with Notre Dame University/U.S. Forest Service PIT program). As a fun business venture, in 2016 my oldest daughter and I opened a start-up business called Nine Lives Cat Cafe in Indianapolis, IN. This was my chance to put all of my business and academic experience to the test. We sold it in 2020 to an employee, and it's still thriving! I am proud of my daughter, and this business. It was the first of its kind in Indiana and was a unique For Profit/Not for Profit partnership business model which was very successful. I love music and started a 501 (c) (3) NFP organization to use college student volunteers to teach music, singing, dancing... any of the arts, in after-school programs around the Indianapolis area from 2012-2015. We also supported other non-profits by providing music and entertainment for their fundraising, and other events. I am a lifelong learner of the guitar. I love to read! I love Halloween and the Fall in general! Lately, I have grown to love indoor plants and outdoor gardening. I hope to one day head back to where I grew up, in New Mexico, to find a piece of land I can put a yurt on and start a permaculture homestead.
