Certified Tutor

Teaching is my passion. I want to help students understand and enjoy what they are learning. As a mother of two, I watched my own children struggle in school and realized how much additional help they required outside the normal school day. I want to give all students that extra help and level the playing field.

I grew up in the Bronx, New York. My father was a junior high school principal so failure in school was not an option. I attended The Bronx High School of Science (an academic specialty high school) went on to study English at the University of Albany in Albany, New York, and received a Bachelor of Arts in English. Years later I attended Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York, where I received a Masters of Science in Elementary
Education.

My teaching philosophy is to teach each student as a unique individual. I try to teach to each student's strengths and branch out from there.

I enjoy tutoring all subjects but especially enjoy tutoring math and reading. I think of math as a puzzle to solve and am comforted that there is only one correct answer. Let me be the answer to your tutoring needs.
