I was a zookeeper before becoming a teacher and have lived all over the United States, with my favorite place being Arizona. Ohio is my home though. I teach Science and Engineering at a large high school, and in the past I have coached Women's Rugby and Swimming. In my spare time I am an obsessive dog mom and I spend a lot of time caring for our classroom pet rabbit named Kevin. I love kayaking and paddle boarding. I was a college swimmer and rugby player and I still swim to stay fit early EARLY in the morning. I love to travel and before COVID I would travel 2-3 times a year out of the country to new places. I just returned from Zambia, where I completed grant-work with local game rangers focused on the illegal wildlife trade. I also spent some time in Tanzania summitting Mount Kilimanjaro. My interests keep me pretty busy, so if I have some downtime, I won't say no to a good nap. :)
