Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Central Michigan University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a focus on Criminal Justice and minored in Athletic coaching. I received my Masters of Arts in Criminal Justice Administration. Since graduation, I have received my Post-Bacculerate Teaching certification in Health and Physical Education and taught Health and Physical Education K-12 for over 19 years. I have tutored elementary students (1st-5th) in math and conducted African-American studies and literature for over 15 years. In my experience helping struggling students overcome their fears and self-doubt about learning has helped students to actualize their true potential. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. In my spare time, I enjoy reading that which enriches my life, yoga, running, and nature walks.
