Certified Tutor
A dedicated tutor who also makes a profession of curiosity as a library worker. I am committed to meeting students where they are, sharing the importance of taking ownership of one's education, and supplying individualized support toward accomplishing learning goals of all kinds.
A certified nerd of the humanities and liberal arts, especially religious and theological studies, philosophy, social, political, and critical theory. However, at the foundation is my passion for critical thinking and reasoning, which are tools that granted me, as a first generation college student, the opportunity to discover worlds beyond the context I grew up in.
I graduated as Valedictorian with a Bachelor in Arts from Salve Regina University with a double major in Philosophy and Religious & Theological Studies as well as a minor in English Literature. I then went on to achieve a Master of Arts with a concentration in Theology from Union Theological Seminary.
Since graduating, I have diligently pursued a career in libraries, where I enjoy providing direct reference and research assistance to students as well as essay structuring consultations and editing services. I also teach group instruction sessions on library resources, research methods, citation, and information literacy. I love working with students to destigmatize research and critical thinking and open up these skills as a foundation for autonomy and creativity.
High school, college, and adult learners are my people! I love working with these populations and finding what values drive their curiosities, education goals, and focus areas. I always strive to root learning approaches in what is most comfortable, enjoyable, and personally important to students. I don't teach concepts, I teach people, so my approaches are as unique as you are!

In my free time, I am a hand bookbinder who also loves to cook and go on bike rides. I enjoy playing music and while I have been playing guitar the longest, I also know my way around the bass guitar, mandolin, ukulele, and a bit of piano. Outside of my academic reading interests, I enjoy reading new fiction and nonfiction - balancing multiple reads at a time keeps things fresh and exciting!
