Hello. My full name is Birhanu Tadesse Gessese. I was born and raised in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. I left my hometown about five years ago for educational purposes. I recently graduated as an English major in the Bachelor of Art from Kenyon College in Gambier, OH, USA. I studied my junior year abroad, attending the Kenyon-Exeter program at the University of Exeter, England, UK. Informed by cross-border intellectual cultivation, I use creative expressions to bring Ethiopia's rich history, art, and literature to the international spotlight. I am also interested in Religious Studies because I believe our approach to religious and/or spiritual thoughts informs our conception of life and our place in it. Inspired by these interests, I compose light, colors, and words to capture the truths and meanings I see in the daily life.
