I received my Bachelor of Science in Biology with Teaching Certification from The University of Texas at Austin. I am certified to teach Composite Science for grades 6 - 12 in Texas. I also have a Master of Education in School Counseling and have passed the National Counselor Examination. I have 21 years of experience in Education. For 14 years I taught both level and honors classes of 8th grade Science. Currently I am a School Counselor at an elementary school and I work with students grades pk - 6. My passion for learning is infectious and I strive to make connections between the subject matter and the real world. It is important for students to have a connection to the subject they are studying. My experience as a School Counselor makes me an expert tutor because I understand the importance appropriate educational relationships play in the learning process. I look forward to working with you on your Science, Writing, College Admissions or Test Prep goals.
