Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of The University of Tennessee in Knoxville. I received my Master's of Science in Early Childhood Education and I hold a National Board Teaching Certification. I am also a certified ESL teacher. Over the past two decades, I have taught Kindergarten - fourth grade in public schools around the southern United States. Most recently, I have been tutoring grades Kindergarten - 7th - in all subject areas, including preparing for standardized testing. I am most passionate about Literature and Math. I absolutely love what I do! Seeing the "lightbulb" turn on when a student "gets the concept" is a really great feeling - for both the student and myself! I am a strong believer of education! I have witnessed first hand this year through tutoring, as well as homeschooling my 5th grade daughter, that students want/need to feel successful! They need positive reinforcement and lots of support! Through tutoring I am able to give that support and encouragement that will directly impact student success in education!
