I am passionate about helping students because of the spark I see in their eyes when a concept they've been struggling with finally clicks.
I've taught intro-level biology and math classes to first-year college students to help them build a strong foundation for more complex material. I received my bachelor's degree in biological sciences from Ohio University and am currently working towards my PhD. in ecology from the University of Wyoming. My favorite subject to tutor is biology because it is the foundation of my career and interests. My teaching philosophy includes creating a safe and comfortable environment for students to learn and tailoring my teaching style to match the student's needs.

Aside from working with students, I like to take my puppy for a walk, go backpacking in the mountains, and journal. I also like to listen to audiobooks, watch youtube videos, and take naps. I am a cheerleading coach for a local all-star cheer program and work with athletes all-year round through the competition season and training season.
