I am a second-year medical student at Baylor College of Medicine with plans to pursue a career in academic medicine. I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering. So, naturally the subjects I am most passionate about include: biology, physiology, physics, mathematics (especially algebra and calculus), and MCAT test prep.
I have been tutoring since high school, where I was president of and a STEM tutor for a non-profit tutoring organization for local students in grades K-12. I also tutored engineering students one-on-one in college and was a teaching assistant for several courses. In medical school, I help younger students with anatomy and create resources, such as flash cards, that my peers use to study our class material.
As a tutor, it's my aim to help my students overcome their learning obstacles and really understand the underlying concepts. I take a holistic approach to learning, hoping not only to help my students pass their exams but also to inspire curiosity and enjoyment in learning.
I am so excited to share my passion for math and science with other learners. I look forward to meeting new students and helping them grow!
