Certified Tutor

I have a total of six years of teaching experience in the classroom, combined with independent tutoring experience. I possess an impeccable education and teaching expertise in all levels and types of science, math, reading comprehension, and writing. I am reading endorsed, and I am actively obtaining gifted endorsement. I also have experience working with students who struggle with reading and math, and I have the unique ability to explain what seems to be inexplicable. I am proficient in properly questioning students with regard to deeper understanding of the "how or why," leading students to answer questions on their own, thus increasing their confidence. Most importantly, I have a very strong desire to teach and to impart knowledge so that students are exposed to all aspects of particular subject content areas without feeling afraid to ask questions. I help students boost their confidence, increase classroom participation, and feel overall better about the areas in which they struggle. I am a mentor as much as I am an instructor, and many students come back to thank me or tell me how they are doing on regular basis. I am grateful to be able to make a difference to students of all learning levels, at all grades levels, in a variety of subjects.
