Certified Tutor

I graduated from Western Washington University this Spring 2019 with a BA in English (Creative Writing Emphasis) and a minor in French and Psychology. Other areas I have focused on include linguistics and English literature. I can't wait to start working with you! Since I know how uncomfortable it can be to work with someone you don't know, here's some information about me!
I'm from Seattle and have three siblings: one older brother and two younger sisters, whom I've tutored when they needed help during their middle and high school years. I adore reading and writing (hence my tutoring areas!) and do my best to make even the most bland assignments appear more interesting. Learning happens best when you're interested!
For assignments, I'll help you break down the requirements into more manageable sections that are easier to understand and complete. For general tutoring in the subject, we can work on reading comprehension, practice grammar and essay writing, do some editing, some public speaking practice...anything you need to feel more confident and successful in the subject! If you want to spend our session going over your readings together, then we can do that! Tutoring is meant to be about you, and my tactics will change depending on your needs.
