You can do this! All people can learn with the right teacher, resources, and environment. As a teacher, I believe that learning should be fun and tailored to fit the needs of each learner. Perceived failures are actually learning opportunities. The only real failure happens when we quit out of fear or frustration. Believing in oneself, patience, and practice makes all of the difference.
I am a certified Early Childhood Education Teacher with 8 years of experience teaching at the Elementary level. One reason that I feel I relate so well to my students is that I have been a life long learner. I have a B.A. in Anthropology and a Master of Divinity Degree.
In 2007, I decided to change careers from Hospital Chaplain to elementary school educator. Starting over was tough, but I have absolutely no regrets. I love teaching and take great pride in the growth and hard work of my students. I love learning and I love to help others learn.
When I'm not teaching, I'm either spending time with my family and friends, working in my spiritual/religious communities, dancing, or baking. I've been an avid African Dance student for over 12 years! I also teach a children's African Dance Class, which is tons of fun!
I'm looking forward to building great tutoring relationships.
Let's learn and grow!
