Certified Tutor

At the moment, I'm attending a language school in Japan (meaning my timezone is JST). Varsity is a US based site so it doesn't translate my new hours well. While here I. Japan I'm hoping to eventually get a degree for animation or Illustration.

Some relevant work I have done includes being a substitute teacher, librarian, and PARA educator back in my local school district. I've also graduated with a master's degree in secondary education. The areas I'm certified in are English and Theatre. I am also qualified to tutor other subjects, especially IB since I went through the IB diploma program in high school as well.

I don't have one type of learning style because I believe as a teacher I should know many ways of teaching. We've known for a long time now that kids learn differently from each other. If a student doesn't understand something, I believe it isn't their fault. Every child has the potential to learn and do better as long as the learning strategies are changed accordingly. When taking the learner type test I found that I'm almost 50% Visual and Kinesthetic. This means I mostly learn from watching others and copying. My strategies will most likely fit students who are similar.
