Hello! My name is Mihir and I currently attend the University of Southern California under the full-tuition Trustee Scholarship, which is allowing me to pursue several opportunities I once believed were impossible. I am pursuing a dual degree in Human Biology and Economics with a minor in Mathematical Finance on the pre-health track. I am very interested in entrepreneurship as I co-founded a mobile application and web development company in high school and currently serve as the CFO and HR Manager there.

Over the past year, I have tutored approximately 15 students in calculus, chemistry, biology, the ACT, and the SAT for over 200 hours with a 3rd party company. I have also worked with quite a few students at my local high school on ACT/SAT preparation and college essay/application editing and guidance, as well as served on USC's interviewing committee for scholarship finalists.

Furthermore, I have extensive research experience through interning at Northwestern University for two summers, researching the development of mutant topoisomerase strains in tuberculosis, as well as the availability of Spanish communication in U.S. hospitals. I have a third summer internship at Northwestern this summer utilizing proteomics for cancer research, and currently hold a research position at USC in personalizing CAR T-cell therapy for cancer patients. I am also quite involved in researching free septal perichondrium grafting for rhinoplasty at USC.

Due to my interest and background in science, I really, really enjoy tutoring STEM-related subjects, although I also have a keen interest in preparing students for standardized tests. The ACT and SAT are a lot like puzzles and you simply need a few tricks and important building blocks for the puzzle to fall into place. Due to my age, I am able to relate to students and understand their difficulties very well, as I was in their shoes just a couple of years ago. Through this relatability, it is a lot easier to cultivate a friendly, understanding, and educational environment for my students.
