Certified Tutor

I received my Bachelor of Science in International History from West Point and served as an Officer in the US Army. Upon leaving the military, I graduated from Dartmouth College and received my Masters in Business Administration. In the business world, I've worked in the insurance and healthcare industries in a variety of roles focused on operations, marketing and finance. In all of my roles, I educate and train adult learners in business operations, process improvement and customer relations.
I feel most comfortable working with high school and adult learners and can best assist those who maybe struggling in history (International/American), English, social studies (economics, political science, and psychology), reading and essay writing. As a volunteer Admissions Officer for West Point, I can assist in creative writing and essays required for the college application process.
Although I personally haven't worked in the public or private school systems, my mom and sisters are teachers and range in teaching others from kindergarten to mater level students and I've often helped them in developing their courses and content. I feel I come from a family that placed a high priority on learning and education. I consider myself to be a life-long learner and am focused on personal growth and development.
All students learn differently and finding the way that best suits a student is something I would concentrate on. Finding your authentic voice and understanding your desires is essential to discovering who you are and how you want to experience the world. I look forward to serving you or your student and helping you to reach your goals.
