I am an early elementary educator for the Ann Arbor Public School District, founder of My Gift From Above Instrumental Music Program, and a performer in the Detroit Metropolitan area. Although I dont have children of my own, I have dedicated my life to aiding the growth, achievement, and happiness of youth. I hold a B.A. in Elementary Education and Language Arts from Eastern Michigan University and have studied under award winning literacy and education professors, Dr. Mary Bigler and Dr. Elizabeth Johnson. My work has been published by Creative Change Educational Solutions, and I was privileged to work alongside the companys founder and executive director, Dr. Susan Santone. As a native of Flint, Michigan, I bring unique experiences and perspectives to both my students and my writing, and my background fuels my passions for producing life-long readers, learners, equitable education, and multicultural childrens literature.

In addition to my love for teaching the core subjects, I also enjoy teaching music. In my personal time, I enjoy playing the piano and saxophone as well a singing. I also enjoy playing tennis, reading, and writing children's literature.
