Certified Tutor

Hello, everyone! I have been speaking Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese since I was a child. I graduated from the University of Oregon in 2013 with a double major in History and Chinese Language. After graduating I immediately left for China where I taught ESL and Chinese for four years (2 years of primary and 2 years of high school). I also did one on one private tutoring while I was in China. When I left in 2017 I had over 25 students of all ages which I taught over the course of the school year. In my free time, I am also a volunteer translator for Viki.com, a website that broadcasts Chinese/Taiwanese TV shows. I am very passionate about the language as well as teaching.

I am a helpful, patient and relatable tutor. I like to hike, rock climb, listen to music, play the ukulele and eat good food in my free time. I am the youngest of 3 in my family. It is a pleasure to meet you!
