Certified Tutor

I am passionate about helping others because I believe that continuous education throughout life enhances who we are as individuals. I have had a long career of educating adults and children on the complexities of mental illness, and I now desire to educate students in the areas of psychology and ESL. I currently teach ESL courses to adult students in Taiwan, who are eager to learn English as a second language. Their passion and motivation inspires me. Currently, I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, a Master's degree in Counseling, and I am pursuing a PhD in Forensic Psychology with an expected graduation date of February 2018. My teaching philosophy is centered around meeting the needs of students where they are. Students vary in the pace in which they learn, and as a tutor, it is important to me to provide a learning platform that is based on the individual needs of the student. Outside of academia, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and baking.
