Certified Tutor

I am currently working towards a Bachelor's degree in mathematics from Western Oregon University. I tutored for two years in a campus tutoring center at Chemeketa Community College and have also done private tutoring. I tutor various levels of math, from elementary to calculus and I will be expanding my selection as I take more classes. When I tutor, my goal is to give students the confidence to do math on their own. My philosophy is to make sure that the subject is understood well enough that the student eventually become self-sufficient in the areas being learned. My hobbies besides math are reading, writing, sewing, playing instruments, and learning languages.
