Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of the University of California, San Diego, Teaching Certificate Program of Pima Community College, and my Masters in Special Education from Capella University. I am Structured English Immersion Certified and have over 220 hours in Professional Development. I have teaching experience on the secondary level, in Southern Arizona. I am certified to teach English at the 7 - 12 level and Special Education K-12.

I have experience not only teaching inclusive English classrooms, but group and one-on-one instruction in a Special Education Resource Center. These positions have enabled me to provide students with the motivation to acquire and master learning skills, using technology and online resources. In addition, I have experience writing Individualized Education Plans and Transitions. I am driven to be patient and strive to be part of a program that will enrich the skills of my students and my own teaching skills and experience.

It is my goal to combine my range of experience with my ability to be an enthusiastic member of a team that will make a positive contribution.
