I am passionate about sharing my love for the English language with my students. In my teaching career, I have been successful at building a long-lasting rapport with my students and helping them excel in the areas that many find daunting and overwhelmingreading and writing.
I am a graduate of Pace University in New York City with a Bachelors degree in English Language and Literature (Writing and Literature concentration). I have tutored test prep, including SAT, ACT, and TOEFL tests; phonics; essay editing; American history; ESL; elementary reading and writing; and middle school and high school English. When Im not tutoring, you can find me reading, listening to music, playing the piano, watching musicals, or playing with my two kids.

What is your teaching philosophy?
My teaching philosophy is 100% student-centered. I tailor each lesson according to the learning styles, needs, and personalities of my students. I believe in giving students the best tutoring experience by handing them the confidence and knowledge to reach their learning objectives.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
My first session is all about building rapport, establishing trust, and assessing my students. Getting to know my students' strengths and weaknesses enables me to deliver the most effective instruction in our sessions.
