Certified Tutor
I'm a recent graduate of Northwestern University, where I studied sociology, theatre, and legal studies. As a high achiever throughout high school and college, I've always viewed education as one of our most valuable resources and am passionate about expanding the educational prospects of others. I have worked as a TA and recently spent a summer creating content for educational programs for disadvantaged populations. My priority as a tutor is truly meeting every student where they are and breaking things down into understandable elements to build from there.

What is your teaching philosophy?
I believe in meeting students where they are and approaching every problem from the methods they clearly already understand, then beginning to build upon that and help them apply those methods to answering test questions.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
In a first session, I begin by reviewing the basics of the test a student will be taking and ensuring they understand the full process and any tips or secrets they might need. I then will use some diagnostic problems to assess which areas the student needs more or less work, and then begin targeting these areas and guiding students through problems with which they may have struggled.
