I really enjoy when the learning process is collaborative. I will not pretend to have all of the answers. I will encourage and motivate my students to go on an adventure with me and find the answers together.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, dancing, and volunteering. I also am an avid baker and am continuously learning and going on adventures.

What is your teaching philosophy?
My teaching philosophy is that we are partners. We work together. My successes, my triumphs, and my downfalls are are all linked to the student. Nothing gives me more joy than watching the light bulb go off and knowing that my student gets it.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
I spend time getting to know each other and learning about their skills and opportunities. Learning what motivates and inspires them helps.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
I give them the tools, motivation, and encouragement to seek answers and practice on their own.
How would you help a student stay motivated?
I do this by drawing connections between the student's goals and interests and the material.
