Certified Tutor
I am a graduate of Texas A&M University, majoring in Ag. Communications and Journalism. Currently a Graduate student at Dallas Theological Seminary in Christian education.
I have a passion for teaching and helping a student unlock their full potential through organization, study tools, improved writing techniques, confidence and strategic learning strategies.
I was a student athlete at Texas A&M and they provided me with great resources to learn many organization and study tools. I'm a book worm, and organizational enthusiast. I can help a student improve their study skills and time management by implementing detailed and structured schedules for studying and life in general.
Other hobbies include acting, musical theatre and guitar. Through those hobbies I have gained the ability to overcome one of students biggest fears public speaking. I believe that with techniques and confidence anyone can excel in public speaking.

What is your teaching philosophy?
I believe that each student has the potential to excel and must be given the tools to do so.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
In the first session I would typically get to know what the student’s goals are. If they do not have goals I would help them set them.
How do you help students who are struggling with reading comprehension?
To help students with reading comprehension I will introduce them to active reading. When active reading, a student will be more likely to remember key points, and understand what they are reading as a whole.
How do you adapt your tutoring to the student's needs?
Every student is different, and because of that each tutoring session much be approached with new angles.
