Certified Tutor

I'm a graduate of The Ohio State University, where I received a dual-degree: a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Specialization in Economics, and my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film Studies. Extending my education, I received my Master of Fine Arts degree in Television Writing and Producing from Norman Steinberg's TV Writers Studio through Long Island University, Brooklyn Campus. While attaining my Masters, I began a digital media production company. We've produced six comedic digital series, built a website, and created targeted social media campaigns. Running a business was a lot of hard work, and fortunately, I was able to build upon a strong educational background to achieve my goals. That's one of the primary reasons why I'm so passionate about helping students. Every class matters and they all empower students to accomplish great things in the future. My teaching philosophy extends from this; I like to relate all material to real life examples. This not only allows for improved comprehension of the subject matter, but it also allows students to understand why it's important -- increasing their passion for their own education. Currently, I'm focusing on math and writing. Those areas are where my expertise lies, and have proven to be my most instrumental tools throughout my own personal endeavors. I'm very passionate about education, I'm taking classes myself focusing on computer programmings, and truly believe learning is a lifelong ambition. I want to help students establish good habits, and an appreciation for knowledge so they have a strong foundation for success. Outside of academia, I enjoy playing and watching sports (Go Bucks!), writing and watching television, and spending time with family.
