I graduated in 2012 from Kenyon College and recently moved to Tucson from Chicago where I was working at a small private school assisting with after school programming. I have worked with children for many years as a counselor, swim instructor, and after school teacher and over this time I have cultivated the skills to communicate effectively with students of all ages. I am very adept at finding creative ways to communicate difficult concepts through the use of digestible metaphors and examples. Additionally, I am able to maintain a laid-back and positive atmosphere with students, in which I can correct their mistakes and guide them to the correct answer without them feeling judged or penalized. I appreciate that every student has a unique learning style and is capable of excelling if given the proper tools. In my free time I enjoy dancing, reading, traveling, doing crossword puzzles, and spending time outdoors.
