Certified Tutor

I have several years of experience teaching literature, composition, public writing, and business/technical writing, and English as a Second Language. I love working with all my students and being an advocate for their academic and professional futures. In addition to classroom experience, I have experience tutoring college students and adults in a number of disciplines with their writing needs. I also work with clients who are adult professionals interested in enhancing their professional identities.

I have three degrees in English: a BA and MA from the University of Georgia and a Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee. I have also published material in the academic area, including co-editing a collection of essays (and contributing a chapter of my own) on Susanne Collins's _The Hunger Games_. I am currently working on a short story and an edited collection of graphic illustrations.

My passions and interests include long-distance running, Latin dancing, art and music, and writing fiction and poetry.
