Certified Tutor

Hi, My name is James and I would like to be your tutor. I've been a tutor for 5+ years working with individuals, in groups, online and in person. Most of my time tutoring has been with student who are looking to improve their SAT ACT and SSAT scores but I have also worked with a variety of AP tests.

If I were to describe my teaching style, when it comes to standardized tests I'm not someone who likes to focus on memorization or learning specific math or grammar rules. I believe more points can be won/lost based on the process that a student uses to answer questions. How many times have you looked at the answers to a question you got wrong on a test and realized that you knew how to find the answer you just made a simple mistake. I can help you make less of those mistakes, and that is where the most significant short term growth can be made.
