I have four years of full-time classroom teaching experience, but many more as a tutor. I started tutoring when I was in the sixth grade, and I now work with students from grades six through college. I also teach SAT and ACT preparation courses. While my favorite subject to teach is Social Studies, my Math and English students have gone on to great success as well. I know that every student has a unique learning style and success is often a matter of finding the right motivation. When I'm not teaching, my favorite thing to do is read to my own children.

What is your teaching philosophy?
Every student has a unique learning style. There is no one teaching method that works for everyone. The key is to pay attention to each student - listen and learn from him/her - to find out which methods (s)he best responds to.
