Certified Tutor

While teaching has been rewarding and enjoyable, I am staying home this year with my newborn baby, Oliver. I hope to be able to tutor to stay connected to my love of teaching.

I have taught for the City of St. Charles School District since January 2006. Over the past eight years, I have taught both at middle and elementary school levels and also special and regular education settings. More specifically, I taught seventh and eighth grade special education (CWC and self-contained both) and third and fourth grade regular elementary education. I was recognized as the City of St. Charles School District 2008-2009 Outstanding Middle School Teacher of the Year.

I was also a successful student averaging a 3.4 GPA in my undergraduate program at Southeast Missouri State University. I successfully taught and earned a 4.0 GPA in my masters program in two years at Missouri Baptist University.

When I am not taking care of my new little one, I love to cook, go to Cardinals games and take my dog on walks. I am enjoying every minute of watching Oliver grow this first year of his life. I am blessed to be able to stay home, but excited to tutor in the evenings.

I have a great passion for teaching, which transfers into my high enthusiasm. My goal with tutoring is to meet individual needs and working one on one will allow that to happen. Sometimes it takes just review of processes, some practice and repetition while others need motivation. It is my goal for my students to have a meaningful tutoring experience that allows them to reach their full potential. I look forward to hearing from you!
