Certified Tutor
I started with Varsity Tutors back in 2009 during my sophomore year as an undergrad at Northwestern University. I did take some time off from tutoring while I completed school. I graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor of Sciences in Theater and a minor in Business Institutions. Since then I have picked up tutoring again. I've always enjoyed learning, and in the past few years I have enjoyed growing as a teacher and leader. I particularly enjoy "the game" of standardized tests, so I gravitate towards teaching ACT and SAT prep. I believe my work as an actor and director aids my ability to communicate and listen to students. I have an avid curiosity; I told my college playwriting professor that I wish I could experience everything there is in the world. She told me to start a podcast where I interview all kinds of people about all kinds of things and call it, "A Little Bit of Everything." I haven't done that yet, but maybe you could be my first guest! I value teaching because it helps me continue to learn and sharpen my mind. I also enjoy being able to pass on the knowledge I have been given. If I work with you, you can expect my full attention, a great attitude, and a good balance between teaching, listening, and practicing. Go Cubs!
