About Me
I hold a degree in Electrical Engineering and have taught a broad range of courses, including nuclear engineering, chemistry, algebra and advanced mathematics, as well as economics, finance, qualitative and quantitative research methods. My teaching is grounded in reflective practice, informed by continuous assessment of student learning outcomes and feedback. I regularly refine my instructional strategies to respond to evolving student needs and to support diverse learning styles. Across disciplines, I emphasize critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and real-world application of concepts. By fostering intellectual curiosity and encouraging active inquiry, I aim to create an inclusive, engaging learning environment that supports meaningful academic growth and prepares students for complex problem-solving beyond the classroom.
Hobbies & Interests
["I bring a strong sense of teamwork and leadership to my teaching, shaped by my service in the United States Navy and my experience playing semi-professional soccer in Hawaii. I have authored three books on leadership and management, which influence how I mentor and engage students. Outside the classroom, my wife and I enjoy traveling, an interest that continues to broaden my perspective as an educator."]
