I am a graduate of the University of Michigan-Flint. I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a Major in Social Science and a Minor in Language Arts. I have a Master Degree in The Art of Teaching that I received from Marygrove College. I also have an Early Childhood Degree. I have taught children for 27 years. My main focus has been first grade. However, I have experience with children in Preschool, Pre-K, Kindergarten, and Grade 6 as well. I firmly believe in the importance of education. It's crucial for a successful path in life. I will work hard to help students become successful learners while developing a lifelong appreciation for education.

I have a Siberian Husky name Teyha and a cat named Oliver. I enjoy taking Teyha for long walks along the river or lake where I live and cuddling with Oliver on the couch. I like to read, ride my bike, listen to music, go to concerts and play my flute, I make different types crafts, and paint ceramics. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
