About Me
As an active student myself, I know how stressful learning can be, so I love helping others build the solid understanding and confidence they need to reduce stress and enjoy the process. I have always been a big advocate for making learning a fun experience, keeping information well-organized, developing sustainable study habits, and applying material to make significant connections to everyday life. I tutor a range of subjects, but some of my favorites are study skills/organization, math, and writing. Furthermore, I am well versed in biology and anatomy as a nursing student. Through my work as a special education camp counselor, babysitter, and youth swim team coach, I have helped students with a wide variety of ages and skill levels develop educational, motor, and social skills. Connecting with so many unique students has allowed me to become flexible as a leader and meet each individual at their comfort level. In my free time, I love reading outside, playing water polo, studying with friends in coffee shops, swimming, and doodling.
Hobbies & Interests
I love to be active in the sunshine; hiking, swimming, and surfing are my favorites. I’m the president of the swim and water polo club at my university, and I have a long list of books I have been reading this summer! Lately, I’ve been enjoying volunteering at a free health care clinic to get some hands-on nursing experience. After a long day, doodling and listening to music are my go-to destressors.
