I worked with all ages from 8 to 15 but mostly got to know campers ages 12 to 14.I graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Science in Human and Organizational Development in 2017. Most of my assignments during my undergraduate experience were essay- or presentation-based, but I also have taken math classes up through multivariable calculus. I have taken the ACT, SAT, PSAT, and GMAT multiple times and have a firm grasp on those tests. I like to teach in the exact same way I learn, by getting to the root of an idea, problem, etc. If you memorize a formula or a grammatical rule, you can remember it for the test, but you'll forget it a week later. If you learn why that formula or that rule exists and why it works, you'll retain that information for far longer and can rediscover and recall it much more successfully down the line. Academics aside, I love to tell jokes, write funny poetry, play chess, go skiing and hiking, and swing dance.
