This realization has reshaped my perspective on relationships but also equipped me with the emotional intelligence to handle the end of friendships with grace and peace. As I move forward, I will be treading lightly with making new friends and making sure they align with my morals and core values. Discovering a friend is not genuine is very hurtful to experience with the betrayal of the meaning of friendship. Fake friends are present during the good times but absent when you need them the most. This year, I have encountered many people who were considered my friends to betray me it left me feeling hurt and not seen as human with emotions. However, this experience has been a turning point with me having to reevaluate my friendships and the kind of people I want to be in my life.
