Eating Dinner With Donald Trump by Zachary - October 2017 Scholarship Essay
If I could have dinner with any president of the United States it would have to be the forty-fifth president, Donald Trump. His business skills, success in everything he does and knowledge of owning businesses would be an amazing experience for me. I would mainly want to hear everything he has to say about business, but also hear his thoughts on foreign and domestic policies. These policies are important to a president but also to citizens of the United States.
Donald Trump has gone from bankrupt to wealthy multiple times during his life. Business runs in his blood, he is the generation businessman taking after his grandmother and his father. I would like to discuss how he became so successful. I would like to find out if it was the knowledge he learned by going to college, did he ask his father and grandmother for help or advice, did he just take risks and get loans, or did he do all of the above? The answers to these questions would help me learn more about him and give me an understanding of more about his values as I really respect him. I would not only discuss his business strategies, I would also ask him about his thoughts on domestic and foreign policies as these topics create many debates among all of the different cultures, religions, and individuals living in the United States and elsewhere.
Since I want to get a business degree in college and one day start my own business, I feel like having dinner with Donald Trump and discussing his business strategies would be very enlightening for me. Domestic policies cover a lot of personal rights and freedoms. Donald Trump does not favor foreign policy as much as he does domestic policies. I would like to hear why he feels so strongly of domestic and not the foreign policies as an individual going into business, I feel both policies could affect me and would like to have that conversation with Donald Trump. This would make for a very delightful evening for me.
