The Best I Can Give by Zachary - April 2016 Scholarship Essay

I live with a younger brother and sister that my parents adopted a few years ago. I really struggle watching them go through some of the same things that I went through at middle school. I strive to help them in any way I can and I try to keep them from struggling the way I did!
The best advice is do the very best you can with all your power. I know if you do your best the rest will fall into place. Take advantage of all opportunities that you are given. They are never too young to begin to do it right now. When I first started my 9th grade year, the Principal of the school told us to enjoy everything and do everything to the best of your ability because as soon as you turn around, you will be a senior and graduating. Well, guess what? IT DID!
I would also tell them to take advantage for the harder classes. I am in the MAPPS program and did well but I could have taken a few harder classes that really challenged me. IT help you get into colleges better, improves your grade point average and it gets you ready for college courses.
If there was one piece of advice that I could give them it would be to take advantage of everything that is offered and do the very best at it.
