To the average human mind the concept of unlimited time and money is heavenly; it is desired by all yet unreachable to many. On the other hand, I believe we can all agree that regardless of your intelligence, school provides each and everyone of us valuable information about the sort of world we are living in. As an incoming premed student, I believe school has taught me well enough about the education system of this country. If I ever were to have at hand unlimited time and money with all of the education given to me, I would advocate for the health and prosperity of college students whose only aspiration is to provide goods and services to this country.

First and foremost, With unlimited funds I would be able to give students the American dream that many are unable to reach because of financial difficulties. Students are expected to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to an institution for the opportunity of an education and hopes of a desirable career. According to the Educational Data Initiative, the average 4 year degree in a public American university is $102,828 for in-state students and $176,056 for out-of-state students; some bachelor’s degrees can be as high as $509,434 all of which the average American student straight out of high school hasn’t made in their lifetime. If students were to be unburdened with finance, it would increase the likelihood of students wanting to attend college and it would also bust our economy and gross national happiness.

Furthermore, with unlimited time and money, I would remodel and construct new residential halls to accommodate each and every student. College students also have to put up with low income living areas; they are to share a small space with a stranger and the privacy of a bathroom with a few others, in some occasions with their entire hall. Many universities require first year students to live on campus and for many out-of-state students, it’s their only option. Many students complain about mold build-up, cleanliness and tight spaces of these dorms. These factors are the cause of frequent illnesses of these students, some of which have reported getting sick at least once a month. I believe that home is wherever you feel safe, comfortable and are able to have a nice hot chocolate without displesentry. It is important for students to feel at home and a sense of comfort in their community. Afterall, they are our future.

Finally, with my own experience in school, I would also provide them with a better chance at education by increasing the teaching faculty. Many students in high populated universities complain about their class size, not because they are annoyed by other students or they want to be the smartest in the class, but because they are unable to speak to their teachers. In a learning facility, it is very important to create some sort of relationship with your instructor. I myself have found this to be an advantage and have found a notable difference in my grades from when I speak to a teacher to when I don’t. Teachers tend to be more understanding and lenient when they know you and the quality of your work rather than a plus one in the crowd. I believe that if more teaching faculties were provided to big universities, students would therefore perform a lot better.

To sum it all up, If I were given unlimited time and money with all of the information given to me from the 13 years of school I’ve had and 4+ more years I am about to intake. I would focus on creating an impact on our education system. From the tuition, to the living areas, and the teaching faculty. By taking all of these factors into consideration, I would increase the health of these students and make them prosperous. With financial freedom and education, they would have a future of success not only for themselves but for generations to come and therefore, our country.
