Choosing a college major is one of the most important decisions a student will make. It can impact their career path, earning potential, and overall life satisfaction. After careful consideration, I have decided to major in hospitality, with the ultimate goal of owning a hotel someday.

There are several reasons why I have chosen to major in hospitality. First and foremost, I have a passion for hospitality and service. From a young age, I have enjoyed making people feel welcome and ensuring that their needs are met. I find great satisfaction in providing exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for others. The hospitality industry is all about creating these types of experiences, which is why I am drawn to it.

Additionally, the hospitality industry is a diverse and growing field. It encompasses a wide range of businesses, including hotels, restaurants, event planning, and tourism. This means that there are many different career paths and opportunities available within the industry. Whether I choose to work in a luxury hotel, start my own bed and breakfast, or plan events for a resort, there are endless possibilities for me to explore.

The fact that the hotel sector is a worldwide one is another factor sparking my interest in it. The importance of having a global perspective and cultural competency is rising in the linked world of today. I think working in hospitality will provide me the chance to learn about many cultures and ways of life because it is a field that welcomes people from all over the world. Finally, I am excited about the prospect of owning a hotel someday. This has been a dream of mine for many years, and I believe that majoring in hospitality is the first step in making that dream a reality. By studying hospitality, I will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to run a successful hotel, including marketing, customer service, finance, and operations.
