Becoming a Doctor by Whitney - September 2018 Scholarship Essay

Many people have an idea of what they want to do when they enter the work force. For many people, their future jobs include furthering their education to a certain extent in order to become a professional at their work. Some people want the least amount of schooling they can possibly get to obtain a job that makes really good money, but for most, years of attending college is a must. Becoming involved with the medical field requires many hours of studying your profession, along with many years of strenuous classes that will make you become great at what you will be doing.
In twenty-five years, I plan on achieving my goal of being an ER Physician working in Little Rock, AR. I am currently a senior at Fouke High School and will be graduating this spring. After graduation, I plan on furthering my education at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, AR. I will be majoring in Biology and Pre-Medical. I have thankfully been accepted for my first four years in order to obtain my bachelor's degree. After graduating from UCA, I plan to attend University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences or Baylor College of Medicine in order to obtain my doctorate's. Once I have graduated from medical school, I plan on becoming a resident at one of the hospitals in Little Rock.
Although I will be finished with high school in a few months, I will continue to further my education for the entirety of my life. Having a career in the medical field ensures that your education is constantly improving. With all of the medical advances and numerous changes being made in today's society, you must never stop learning if you plan on being successful in this field of study.
