Education is Beautiful by Victoria - April 2015 Scholarship Essay

Without education, we would be nowhere. The moment we were brought into existence, learning was necessary to survive; as the human race has become more knowledgeable, we can use what we have learned for whatever it is we desire to do and what will be beneficial to our world. I believe we have a very proficient system going; that is how we live our lives from what we have learned through education. Although, I believe there is always room for improvement for the betterment of mankind, and we can do this if we convene together to get educated!

The purpose of an education as it pertains to me personally is to help one another and be a part of a society where we can offer services to have a strong, positive environment for people. I think one of the most important things you can do in life is help others, and that is what I want to do with my future career in nursing. I participated in the Three Rivers Community Hospital Youth Volunteer Program for two years during high school where I was surrounded with learning. During my time volunteering in the emergency department I was absolutely inspired to be of aid to others for the rest of my life, whether it is in a hospital setting, or my dream of eventually traveling and becoming a missionary to help and educate those that are less fortunate all over the world. Receiving an education is the next step to where I want to be in life, and I appreciate the possibility for the opportunity of this scholarship gift!
