Senior quotes are infamous last lines for high school students. Many times they are funny memorable items, others reference movies or shows. Each one is chosen for different or sometimes the same reasons as others.
Mine would be "Just keep swimming" because life is filled with many hardships. Dory sings the line whenever she needs motivation. It also provides a sense of comfort knowing she will eventually end up at some place better or remember a lost detail that will help her along her journey.
My later years of my life have been the toughest. In the past two years I have lost my mother and grandfather. I have struggled with depression and anxiety since middle school. I am currently a first generation student who is struggling to get enough scholarships to pay for college; working through each application for schools by herself. I never had a college savings account so I have no money for college at all. I take a full course load with only honors and advanced placement classes. Sometimes the workload gets stressful but I remind myself to "Just keep swimming". Continuously trying to fulfill my promise to my late mother of graduating in white with an advanced honors diploma which will happen in a few short months.
Life can get tough and stay unbearable for what can seem like forever but it will pass. It will get better as long as I continue to work hard and smart to overcome the obstacles in the way. My only question is will I keep swimming.
