School should be for everyone by Valerie - July 2018 Scholarship Essay

Many students have a great time during high school , the athletes are seen as celebrities, and the schlolars are seen as geniuses. Then there are the kids who have other extracurriculars and the ones who are not involved in anything besides school and do not excel in their school work. Those students not involved in anything many feel alone. As a student athlete who volunteered in my free time I understand how time can be managed. Majority of the students I have met do not realize how volunteering and involving yourself into something besides class can impact your life.
I want to let everyone know that there is more out there and explain to them that involvement in other places is worth doing. It is not a waste of time or your resources but in the end can bring many rewards. I would visit every class and explain a little bit about who, where and when their time can be spent. I would contact every organization and ask what the specific tasks can be performed. Expressing how it looks to be involved in extracurriculars is a must as well. Even if it is not a sport, such as chess club or key club, spending time with others can be fun and build unexpected friendships. The time spent volunteering and doing extracurriculars builds character and makes you a better person. It shows that you care and that you want to not only make your life better but to help make other better as well.
In my campaign I would make posters encouraging everyone to involve themselves with different groups and organizations. Make speeches about the personal experiences I have endeavored and personally put myself out there and talk to people of my class face to face.
