What aspect of your education are you most thankful for?
Education is a broad word and has a different meaning to a lot of different people. Mine is football, to others it could be music, or student council. No matter what you think of education it never means one certain thing. Sure getting an education in math, reading, or science, but all extra curricular activities play a big role in the development of our youth today. Football has been the biggest influence in my education and everyday life.
It all started back in the fourth grade on our Dickson peewee football team. I was always told as a kid that if I work hard and finish what I started that I could do anything in the world. So being a child, it stuck with me. To this day, I have always tried my best, and it has gotten me to where I am today. Hard work, determination, and finishing strong are the things I have learned from my education.
A lot of people do not think that football should be considered a part of education, but in my eyes I have always seen it as a part of it. Football is like anything else in life, if you want something you have to work hard to get it, sometimes harder than you have ever worked before. It pushes you to be the best you can be and to never give up.
Some other things that football has taught me is that no matter what happens, win or lose, you always have to look forward, you can’t dwell in the past because if you do then your life will only go downhill. Your life should not be a rollercoaster. You should never have ups or downs, if you keep looking forward and keep a positive mind set then all you will be doing is going up in life.
