Flying in the FUTURE... by Tyler - March 2025 Scholarship Essay

Where do I see myself in the next 10 years? I have thought about that quite a lot lately. My goal was to attend college and play football at college level. I had numerous offers, but none was something I could afford. People think if you get offers it is a full ride. NOPE…. It is only a small percentage of the tuition. I had to sit down and really think about my future.
I concluded that I want to attend college with minimal debt and maximum education. I decided to stay in the State and continue my education. I have been lucky to attend college via dual enrollment and have complete 30 credit hours. I also took a course through Embry-Riddle University. I was able to get my recreational drone license and am planning to work toward my Commercial license. My plan is to get my business degree and use my drone experience. I want to work for a utility company and use drones to oversee overhead power line maintenance. On the side I want to start an drone business. I can use them for sports, surveying, real estate, and hunting.
I plan to get this business up and running and set up a internship for high school students. I think this is an up-and-coming business and I am excited to be on the ground floor of it.
