Yes, leadership skills are necessary for college success. However, I am not referring to the leading of others; I am referring to the leading of ourselves, i.e. responsibility. In order to have success in college we need to have a sense of responsibility. Once we go to college we are required to take care of ourselves, and try to make the best decisions for ourselves. In college we become our own leaders.

A leader is a person who leads their followers to success, and in college we become that person to ourselves. Leadership brings order and uses the skill of obeisance to achieve goals. We need to be our own leader and supporter. We need to support what the leadership part of us decides in order to achieve success. Both skills depend on each other for gain.

Leaders are useless without supporters and supporters are useless without leaders; they need each other to reach their goal. It is a balance, a balance that is required of our inner self to have to achieve success. Taking a balanced leadership of ourselves gives us the best chance of success in college. We need to be strong enough to lead ourselves and willing enough to obey ourselves. In conclusion, leadership skills are necessary for college success because it bring productivity which we need to have success.
