Procrastination Causes Toobv Much Stress by Tyler - April 2016 Scholarship Essay

Throughout high school I have always been the worst when it comes to getting stuff done when it needs to be. That extra time for playing video games or watching Netflix is not worth the stress that will come later when all those assignments and projects start stacking up. I have felt stressed through most of high school for this reason and this reason only. You might tell yourself that you will do it later or tomorrow, trust me I have told myself this to many times. Not once has this turned out how I wanted, the only thing to come from this mind set is a stack of things to do. This doesn't just affect your school life, it can also affect your social and personal life as well.
I have had too many unnecessary fights with my parents because I didn't take responsibility and do what I should of done. If it wasn't for them, I probably wouldn't be doing this right now if they didn't push me like they do. I don't want anyone to have to go through high school the way I did. The work load will feel way less if you don't let it get to the point where you are too overwhelmed and then don't do any of it because the stress is to much to handle. overall you will be a lot happier and have a great high school experience.
A good quote to live by is, "don't leave for tomorrow what can be done today". Setting your priorities straight will carry you though life no matter what you do. If I went through high school knowing what I do now I would never set an assignment aside for later. Turning an assignment in on time is one of the best feelings in life.
