Knowing what you know now, what is one piece of advice you'd share with younger students? by Tyler - April 2016 Scholarship Essay

In exactly seven weeks from today I will be graduating from high school. There are so many memories that come to my mind, almost all of them good! The time has gone so quickly and knowing that, the one piece of advice I would share with younger students is to treasure each moment you have left in school. Treasure the time you have with your classmates. Treasure the knowledge the teachers have to share with you. Treasure the advice your parents, grandparents, and teachers give you. Treasure even the conflicts, doubts, worries, fears, and anxieties that make up the high school years. Treasure the entire experience.

By treasuring each moment you have coming your way, you will not have any regrets about the time that has past. At the beginning of each school year, all I could see were the endless days, weeks, and months filled with homework, study, and tests. I didn't realize that it would all go so quickly. I didn't know that as the days flew by, I would want to do it all again. I didn't realize that my senior year would go by even faster than all the other years combined.

When I look at my friends and now understand that we will never have this same opportunity to share these days again, I treasure the few days we have left in school. Some of them are going to be going away to college, some will be staying and attending college close by. But none of us, will ever share these moments again together.

So without a doubt, my one piece of advice that I would share with younger students is to treasure each and every moment you have left in school.
